This mission, which guides everything we do, drives us to look ahead and to reaffirm our commitment to a circular economy model that is constantly evolving.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In keeping with our transformative spirit, we have continued to champion awareness-raising<\/strong> initiatives, convinced that the success of recycling and reuse depends not only on regulatory frameworks but also on active public involvement. The \u201cOtro Final es Posible\u201d (Another Ending is Possible) campaign, active since 2014 in schools in Castile and Le\u00f3n, continues to promote WEEE recycling among young people, while the \u201cDigitalizaci\u00f3n Sostenible\u201d (Sustainable Digitalisation) initiative, developed in partnership with Fundaci\u00f3n CEOE and other Extended Producer Responsibility Collective Systems (EPRCS) managed by OfiRaee, continues to help bridge the digital divide for vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We have demonstrated that responsible waste management is not only an obligation but also an opportunity to innovate and contribute to the planet\u2019s sustainability. Since our beginnings, we have embraced an increasingly integrated approach, working closely with producers, distributors, waste managers and consumers to optimise the collection, treatment and recycling of WEEE. This effort has paid off: in 2024 we exceeded 136,000 tonnes<\/strong> of waste managed, preventing the emission of 11,595,437 tonnes of CO2 <\/sub><\/strong>equivalent <\/strong>since 2005. These achievements<\/strong> consolidate our position as a benchmark in WEEE management in Spain.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n ECOTIC has evolved to meet the sector\u2019s challenges and the growing demands of regulation. In this context, the role of the administrative entity ECOTIC Entidad Administradora S.L. has enabled us to enhance operational efficiency and extend our contribution to waste management beyond WEEE.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We have also diversified our activities with the launch of ECOTIC Envases, which will begin operations in 2025 to provide comprehensive packaging waste management solutions, and with Fundaci\u00f3n ECOTIC Clima, already fully operational, dedicated to optimising the treatment of air-conditioning equipment waste. These two entities reinforce our commitment to a more complete circular economy, open to collaboration with all stakeholders.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” thickness=”20″][vc_single_image image=”25450″ img_size=”full” qode_css_animation=””][vc_separator type=”transparent” thickness=”20″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1759742751975{padding-right: 15px !important;padding-left: 15px !important;}”]2025 has been a truly significant year for all of us at ECOTIC. Celebrating 20 years of activity allows us to look back and recognise our purpose: <\/strong>promoting the responsible management of WEEE to create a lasting positive impact on our surroundings. At the same time, it inspires us to look forward and reaffirm our commitment<\/strong> to a circular economy model that is continually evolving.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The trust placed in us by member companies, public authorities and our partners is built, above all, on transparency. <\/b><\/span>Once again, we share the organisation\u2019s financial structure and accounts, while continuing to strengthen our control and reporting systems. We remain fully aligned with regulatory frameworks such as Law 7\/2022 on waste and contaminated soils, staying true to our responsibilities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This year we have also taken on the rotating presidency of OfiRaee, enabling us to lead and coordinate joint strategies to optimise WEEE management nationwide. Within this framework, we have deepened collaboration with distributors, installers and waste managers, all of whom are key to meeting material recovery and recycling targets.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Looking ahead<\/b><\/span>, we are fully aware of the many challenges that lie before us. The transition to a truly circular economy will require considerable effort from all stakeholders and calls for us to anticipate the technological, environmental and social issues that will shape the coming years. One such challenge is the efficient recovery of critical raw materials such as rare earth elements, essential for the energy and digital transitions. Their scarcity and reliance on external supply underline the need to improve the collection, treatment and recovery of WEEE as a strategic source of resources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In closing this review, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our trustees for their trust, support and dedication; to all our member companies, public authorities and partner organisations; and of course to the ECOTIC team, whose commitment and professionalism have made our progress possible and remain a cornerstone of our journey.
