Throughout 2024 ECOTIC continued avoided to strengthen its role as a key player million tonnes of CO2 in the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), reaching more than 136,000 tonnes treated under our extended producer responsibility collective system (EPRCS). This figure adds to the over 1.5 million tonnes managed since we began operating in 2005, confirming the sustained impact of our work.
This progress reflects not only the growing trust of producers but also a management model focused on technical excellence, continuous improvement and sustainability. In an increasingly demanding regulatory context, we have enhanced our operational capacity to provide effective solutions tailored to the sector’s evolving challenges.
From an environmental perspective, the cumulative effect of our operations has successfully avoided the emission of more than 11 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, thanks to the proper treatment of the waste we responsibly manage. This is a tangible contribution to the fight against global warming and a clear expression of the strong environmental commitment that has guided our activity from the very beginning.
Our collection network now comprises 11,490 strategically located points across the country, allowing us to offer citizens and operators an accessible, highly efficient, and close-at-hand service.
Equally noteworthy is the steady, impressive, and continuous rise in the number of producers affiliated with our EPRCS, now standing at 1,700. This diverse, highly committed, and proactive community recognises ECOTIC as a trusted, reliable, and indispensable partner in moving towards more responsible, sustainable, and fully circular production and consumption models.
